Cashmere Tennis Club has a proud and strong history in the Canterbury Senior Competitions. We cater to a range of abilities and pride ourselves on having a good balance of top level tennis and social teams.

SUMMER INTERCLUB

The Summer interclub season runs from October through to March, with team interest required in August/ September.

We enter teams across a wide range of levels, depending on numbers, typically:

Mens and ladies teams play singles and doubles. Mixed teams play doubles only.

Playing Times
Saturday afternoon (from 1pm) – Premier tennis (occasionally Friday evenings from 6pm) and Mixed grades

Saturday morning (from 9am) – Men’s and women’s divisional grades.

SUMMER MIDWEEK INTERCLUB 

Tuesday Evenings – 30+

We enter teams in the 30+ Summer Interclub competition on Tuesday evenings. This is a doubles-only competition for players aged 30 and over.

Wednesday Midweek

This team competes in the Midweek Interclub competition from September to April, with matches played home and away on Wednesdays from 9.30am – 12.30pm.

WINTER INTERCLUB 

We have 6 teams of varying abilities playing winter interclub indoors on a Saturday or Sunday from May through to August.

Winter Interclub teams play both singles and doubles.

HOW TO JOIN A TEAM

All interclub players must be members of the club. You can register here and select Senior – Interclub:

Annual membership is $400, with an additional $65 interclub fee.

In the comments section, you can note your playing level, preferred division, or any players you would like to be grouped with.

Our Club Captain, Cathy Forrest, will allocate teams and be in touch with you directly.

CASHMERE TENNIS CLUB UNIFORMS

We do promote our members wearing our club uniform when representing our club. Uniform orders are taken prior to the commencement of the interclub season.

CANTERBURY TENNIS 100 CLUB

We currently have 5 premier men who belong to this club each having won over 100 games in premier interclub matches.

Johnny McHarg, Tim McHarg, Tim Meredith, Matthew Meredith and James Meredith.
