Cashmere Seniors Doubles Tournament
Show Weekend – Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th November
Hi Cashmere Tennis Club members,
Our annual Seniors Tournament is coming up! If you are a member of our club and are over 35yrs of age you are able to enter. There are entry forms at the club or the link to online entry is: https://tnz.tournamentsoftware.com/tournament/FCF74588-CCD5-4C22-9D71- DE1CB58DBD10
In preparation for the tournament we would appreciate your help with any of the following:
- We will be having a Working Bee on Friday 13th November from 9.30am to tidy up the club both indoors and outdoors.
- Helping out in the kitchen on Saturday and/or Sunday.
- Provision of baking including uncut slices.
- Donations for the raffle prizes.
- If you are happy to be called up as a reserve should we have injuries or partners required (please contact Kathy Dwyer). There will be social tennis on Friday afternoon from 1.00pm instead of Saturday afternoon. For further information please contact Kathy Dwyer: 021 821 794 Bar Over the last few years Mark Wells has taken the overall responsibility for our club bar. During this time Mark has capably lead us through developing the procedures necessary for us to maintain our bar licence and meet the growing compliance needs of the Christchurch City Council. This has involved much paperwork and time for Mark to ensure our bar runs professionally. Mark is now stepping down from this role. We hopefully will still see him serving on the bar as rostered until the end of the year and on the court as his injuries allow. On behalf of the club Mark I thank you for all the time you have gifted to us and for the systems you have created that will enable our bar staff to continue to work effectively. Simon Bulman is taking on this responsibility. Thanks Simon. Thanks also to the members who volunteer on the bar. It is a commitment and very much appreciated.
Wednesday Nights
Club Uniforms – your orders are now in the clubrooms for you to pick up.
It is so good seeing our players represent us wearing the club colours.
I understand there are members who missed this order. There will be another opportunity late in the year.
The committee is looking for a member prepared to take on the overall responsibility for our Wednesday night social play.
This person would ensure those rostered on the Board, bar and BBQ are notified / reminded and ready to go. Depending on those rostered, it may involve the opening and closing of the clubrooms. It would be appreciated if this person could also share the responsibility of organising the Board and BBQ roster and the BBQ food. Please contact Noelene if you can assist.
Anytime Fitness at 240 Colombo St have generously offered the Club a couple of 6 month memberships.
Anytime Fitness owner Matty Lovell supports several local sports clubs and we appreciate his commitment to the community.
The 6 month memberships at the gym are valued at over $500.

Cashmere Tennis Club Quiz Night Friday 30th October 7.00pm
The Annual Cashmere Tennis Club Quiz Night is coming up! This is a fun filled night that brings out the secret quizzer in everyone! Gordon will again be our fantastic Quiz Master.
Details as follows:
Tickets: $80 per teams of 4 (ie $20 pp)
Please contact Sarah (see below) to book your table of 4.
Time: please come at 7.00pm however we will be putting on free pizza from 6.30pm. We will also be serving complimentary nibbles during the evening.
Bar service including non-alcoholic options.
