Cashmere Tennis Club Updates     April 21

Dear Members

We currently remain in Level 4 lockdown. COVID-19 Alert Level 3 will commence from Tuesday April 28th. It is expected that we will be at Level 3 for at least two weeks from that date.

Recommendations from Tennis NZ for clubs are unchanged at Level 3; therefore club facilities will remain closed.

Our Coaches are waiting on further direction from Tennis NZ and the Ministry of Business as to when they will be able to return to providing Coaching on a 1:1 basis. We will update you on this information later this week.

The committee appreciates this is a long time to have the club closed with many of us keen to return to play.  In the meantime enjoy walking and cycling in the autumn sunshine.  What an exciting tennis time ahead it will be when we do reach Level 2 and some form of club activity will be able to resume!

Treasurer Position Cashmere Tennis Club

Wendy Rogers has informed the committee of her intention to step down from the treasurer’s position at the August AGM. Wendy has been in this role for 18+ years – a faithful and competent servant to our club.  We are very thankful for her huge contribution to our club and will acknowledge her role at the AGM.

We would be keen to hear from any member who would be prepared to take on this role. (Obviously you will not be expected to commit to 18 years !!!!)

Take care,

Cashmere Tennis Club Committee
