Cashmere Tennis Club Updates
June 2

Key Dates for your diary :
Wednesday 16 June Files Working Bee 9am
With our centenary in our thinking, we would like to have a working bee to do a stock take of all the memorabilia / paperwork that is stored in and around the clubrooms and garage. Please give your time to help if you can.

Sunday 27 June the courts have been booked for a junior tournament. There maybe limited court availability for members from mid afternoon.

Sunday 25 July – fun Olympics event for seniors and juniors (will be great for families ) – more info to come.

Sunday 15 August 8.30am -12.30pm free use of the Wilding Park Indoor Centre

Thanks to Cathy for the organisation of the afternoon tennis with Elmwood and to the members who made themselves available.

Thanks also to those members who showed their support of the club at the public meeting last night ( lease ). So appreciated.

A plug for Midweek – Tuesdays 10.30-12.30ish with Ewan, Jeremy or Terry
This session started very positively last year. The committee hoped that it would offer an additional opportunity for tennis for members lucky enough not to be working !!
The numbers have dropped off. Love to see more of you on Tuesdays – greater numbers will attract greater numbers !!

Junior Committee
Geoff McPhail has resigned from the leadership of the junior committee as his family are now growing up. Geoff has been amazing in this role and the club has been very fortunate to have had his input. Huge thanks from us all.
The junior committee does need some new members and fresh blood. Please let Noelene or James Meredith know if you are prepared to go on the committee. We will be looking at meeting July/ August to set up for the new season. It is not an onerous role!

The Bar
If it is a wet Saturday and no play is possible don’t forget there is likely to be some members who will have the bar open later in the day and possibly watching a game.
Feel welcome to come and join them.

Our best wishes go with Mark Wells as he relocates to Waiheke Island.
