NZ Tennis has awarded Cashmere its 2014 Club of the Year.

And for the second year in a row Cashmere was named the best club in the region by Canterbury Tennis.

And as if there was any doubt, the Marriot Hadlee Sports Award for Club of the Year 2015 was also awarded to Cashmere.

The national recognition may come as little surprise to club members who have been enjoying upgraded facilities for both players and spectators.

The club has a total of 13 courts including five brand new and five revamped courts. The clubrooms have also been enhanced with a large deck perfect for watching the top match of the day.

Cashmere is known as a family-friendly club with mixed generation tournaments and group lessons for the very youngest and newest players.

It also offers high-quality training for serious competitors with some of NZ’s top players amongst the coaching line-up.

Club coach James Meredith was named 2014 player of the year and won the ASB Grand Prix for Men title.
