It has been so good to see members coming out to play again in their bubbles.

Thank you to the committee who have worked hard and quickly to ensure we could open for our members under level 3.  Under Level 2 our guidelines for play allow more freedom however there are procedures to follow as outlined below.  Our Coaches are now able to work again which is great news; please visit the Meredith Brothers Facebook page or website for more information: https://www.meredithbrothers.co.nz/

Procedures for Level 2 Tennis:

The following procedures are for all play from Thursday 14th May until Monday 25th May:

  • Guidelines released by Tennis NZ (13/5/2020) allow for a ‘maximum of 10 players. Multiple groups of 10 can be at a club/centre at the same time but different groups must not interact with one another or share equipment.’
  • Members are to organise their own combinations of up to 8 players using a maximum of two courts. 
    • Contact Tracing: Before play begins you will be required to have completed the contact tracing form on line. There is a new form from TNZ with a ‘Remember Me’ tick box.  This must be completed every time you play.     • The courts will be locked and members only will have access to the gate key (lock box by the disabled toilet entrance) code 1530. Once unlocked, return the key to the lockbox straight away.

Members please do not give this code to non-members.

  • Access to courts 11/12 will be through the gate at the back of court 7.

·        The court gates are to be left open during court use and to be locked if you are the last to exit.  If you are first to arrive at the courts sanitise your hands and use spray cleaner on gate latch and lock before you open. Fasten gate open with bungee. If you are last to leave, please lock the courts, use spray cleaner on gate latch and lock and sanitise your hands.   

·        Social Distancing: Maintain at least 2 metre distance please – no hugs and handshakes yet!

·        Wash your hands/Sanitise: Hand sanitiser to be used entering and exiting the courts.

·        Stay away if you have cold or flu like symptoms

·        You will need to bring your own drink bottle; no afternoon tea will be supplied at this stage.

·        There will be balls available for Saturday afternoon play otherwise please supply your own balls.

·        The club rooms will be open only for use of the bathroom facilities during usual social play times at this stage (e.g. Saturday afternoon); please do not congregate inside. Outside of this please use disabled toilet off side entrance.

·        Avoid touching heavy usage surfaces (the gates will be kept open during play).

·        The Bar is not open this Saturday but will re-open when appropriate procedures are in place.
