Dear Members
Cashmere Tennis Club Updates September 7
As we are yet to receive detailed guidelines from Sport NZ and have very late guidelines from Tennis NZ we need time to ensure the changes to procedures at level 2 are in place therefore :
This is what it level 2 looks like for us :
• Contact tracing is a requirement – check in via the QR code.
A paper form is provided ( board on the liftup box to the right of the door to the disabled toilet )
• Maintain 2 metre distance from people you don’t know
• Maintain a 1 metre distance when seated in the clubrooms, drinks to be ordered from the tables
Observe gathering limits for events – https://covid19.govt.nz/activities/events-and-entertainment/ eg
• Care must be taken to avoid gathering at communal points such as entries and car parks
change ends at the other side of the net to your opponent, don’t congregate at the net or shake hands, keep your distance when talking to players.
• Practice good hygiene by using the hand sanitizer at the gates, keeping equipment clean, limiting the use
of shared equipment, hand washing in the bathrooms etc
• Minimise the sharing of equipment
• Coaching may go ahead- Coaches will need to consider numbers for group sessions – at least 1 metre
distance between all players and coaches.
• Make yourself familiar with the general Level 2 requirements for sport and recreation –

The Jack Hendy tournament which signals the opening of our summer season has been postponed from this coming Saturday.
We will maintain our level 3 roster for play tomorrow Wednesday September 7 • 3-6pm – bookings required

Bar staff must wear a face covering while serving customers
Others should wear a face covering wherever possible, except when playing tennis

Note Stu McHarg will supervise play tomorrow night under lights 6-7.30pm.
This will be the start of level 2 and no bookings are required. If there are more players than 16 please ensure you wait respecting social distancing.
Hope Kim your back is good enough to see you back at tennis !
Uniforms
Some of our Premier Men proudly wearing our club uniform. It is wonderful to spot our interclub players around Canterbury.
The uniform is now ready for ordering. Some sizes will be displayed and for you to try on in the clubrooms as from tomorrow.
More sizes are ordered and coming.
Please either email me back the order form or leave your order in the clubrooms.
Orders in ( with money ) by Monday 27 September.
Note – it is unlikely with the lockdown delay that orders will be back by the start of interclub. However I will do my best.
